Ethiopian relation- QATAR will built Kidney medical center. Hope & Fear!
Ethiopian relation with Qatar is escalating and Qatar foundation held an agreement with Ethiopian government to build Kidney medical center in Ethiopia. The medical center is solely aimed to give treatment for Kidney patients. As per the Ministry of health of Ethiopia, the kidney medical center will give medical treatments for poor Ethiopians.
Qatar ambassador in Ethiopia, Ambassador Hamad Al- Dossari, express his pleasure to work with Ministry of health, and he promised the medical center will give treatment without financial discrimination.
However many are afraid that these center might became a center of illegal organ Trafficking, UNLESS GOVERNEMT AND THE SOCIETY PUT THEIR EYES ON THIS PROJECT. Qatar and other Middle East countries are renowned for their illegal theft of organ. The trafficking of human organs in the Middle East is referred to as a “silent crime,” as it occurs outside the bounds of accountability and control.
According to World Health Organization estimates for 2015, more than 10,000 sales of human organs take place on the black market each year. Around 5 to 10% of all kidney transplants worldwide are accomplished through trafficking and cross-border smuggling operations, raking in annual profits ranging between $600 million and $1.2 billion, while other estimates suggest an annual profit of $8 billion.
